Summer, spring, winter, fall—we learn year-round, through it all at St. Philip. So that this can happen, I work hard to provide a comfortable, social, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for our early learners. To help me do so, I have a few upgrades in mind for our play-based educational atmosphere. If this dream became a reality, we could take education outside to learn about the world around us through the use of a sensory table, sorting table, and indoor/outdoor easel. Likewise, when indoors early childhood, students could learn, explore, and apply their knowledge using a combination sensory light table and mirror. They would also be able to use a new furniture set in the reading area to practice their prereading skills and work through books that apply to their current project.

If this dream came true, we could provide early childhood students with new and exciting ways to scaffold their knowledge and apply the results of their explorations to what they learn. Both outdoor and indoor learning play a huge role in how my students learn, so by achieving this dream, I hope to create the ideal learning environment for my students.
