Learning Can Be Easel (#207)

Learning Can Be Easel (#207)

The dream I have for my students this year is for them to have an all-purpose easel. In my classroom we are currently using a very limited easel with only a non-magnetic white board that had been used for painting, making it difficult to write on. The easel is heavy and hard to move around the classroom. My students would benefit greatly from this all purpose easel.

This all purpose easel would help facilitate my student’s learning in a number of ways. We would be able to do our message of the day during circle time. The whiteboard side of the easel is magnetic so not only would I be able to use dry-erase markers, but also use magnetic numbers, letters, and shapes to provide visual hands-on learning. It also comes with a tray that can hold larger books so that all the students would have an equal view during story time. With the flannel board I would like to have my students use felt pieces to retell the stories we read. I believe this not only shows retention, but helps develop a child’s imagination and self-expression. The easel also has clips that holds a pocket chart where I can display words of the week or sight words. With this one easel there are so many different hands on opportunities for my students to learn.
