In-Person learning going strong at Good Shepherd Christian Academy
At Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation (CLEF), we provide a plethora of financial support (capital improvements, student scholarships, teacher salary support, etc.) for Lutheran schools in Chicagoland. Additionally, CLEF helps enhance the school environment by providing educational coaches for our principals, high quality curriculum standards, a Health and Wellness Coordinator for our schools, special education services, marketing coordinators to increase enrollment, and much, much more!
Our schools individually serve the students and community- and these communities vary greatly! Therefore, some of our schools are doing in-person learning, remote or a hybrid model. All of our schools are open for in-person learning in some capacity- a fact that we are very proud of.
We are proud of ALL our schools for doing what is best for their students!
A success story recently came to our attention from Good Shepherd Christian Academy, on the border between the Logan Square and the Hermosa neighborhoods. GSCA has completed more than 70 days of in-person learning this school year! Does it look like a typical year? No! (Mask breaks, hybrid classes, outdoor learning, and sanitizer for all!) Is it easy? No! But the benefits of in-person learning can be felt in the atmosphere of this loving community of supportive parents and happy kids.
Thank you to the dedicated and meticulous efforts of staff and leadership at GSCA! We are all so grateful for the teachers who do what it takes to bring the love of Jesus to their community!
