Part-time position for special education instruction

CLEF serves elementary and preschools throughout Chicago. We are seeking a teacher who has a LBS 1 license in Illinois to provide special education services for students at our Lutheran schools. The hours and location will vary depending on current needs. The services would be provided under an Independent Contractor Agreement. Programs Assistant, M-Th 9-4 Part-time position

The Programs Assistant will carry out administrative tasks that impact the daily operations of CLEF’s Academic Program. He or she is responsible for performing general office duties such as addressing general school concerns, event planning, organizing and coordinating academic events, coordinating professional development sessions, keeping records (such as PD attendance), data entry, answering phone calls at the office, and responding to general school inquiries. The Programs Assistant will communicate with schools and vendors as well as promote academic programs and events. This individual must be flexible, a team player, and willing to learn. The Programs Assistant will directly support the Director of Academic Excellence. This is a part-time position, Monday-Thursday, 9a-4p. This individual will also be available to work all CLEF events such as the Networking Conference, Gala, and others as necessary.

Responsibilities for Programs Assistant:

Coordinate academic events (such as Principal 360 Chicago Edition/Mastermind Chicago Edition/In-person trainings, CLEF’s Annual Networking Conference, etc.)
Administrative academic program-specific tasks (i.e. scheduling meetings & Zoom; create forms, surveys, emails; ordering of materials and supplies; etc.)
Represent CLEF for academic program-related matters and events
Communicate with schools, vendors, and other CLEF stakeholders (such as academic-related communications regarding professional development and other CLEF programs)
Coordinate professional development (serve as support during professional development sessions/monitor Zoom; send correspondence; maintain PD documents such as attendance, log of recordings and resources)
Project management (Medallion Program; Teacher Dream Grant)
Collect and input school data
Perform additional tasks as may be required by Director of Academic Excellence and Executive Director

Qualifications for Programs Assistant:

Bachelor degree required
Prior experience working as an education coordinator,  program assistant, or similar in a related field required
Proficiency with using Google Suite (Google Drives and Folders, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Forms); Microsoft Office 365 application; and Zoom
Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time; able to lift at least 20 lbs
Proficiency with using Constant Contact, Givesmart, and Submittable preferred
Has a passion for and commitment to shaping and driving CLEF’s mission, vision, and purpose
Located in Bensenville, IL
Part-time, M-TH 9a-4p; some weekends may be required for CLEF events

In-Person Speech Therapist

CLEF is seeking an individual or agency to provide in-person speech and language therapy in our Lutheran schools, specifically in the Roger’s Park and North Center neighborhoods, as of now. Hours and location vary based on current needs. The services would be provided under an Independent Contractor Agreement.

Requirements include:

  • Hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois
  • Ability to switch to teletherapy as the situation requires

Bethesda Admissions & Marketing Coordinator

The Admissions and Marketing Coordinator is a part-time contract position that will serve as a key member of Bethesda International Academy’s administrative team.

This position reports to the Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation, and works with the school principal. They will interact extensively with parents, teachers, volunteers and other school stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Role

Recruitment & Retention: 

  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective and new families, from first contact through assimilation to the school community. 
  • Work with the principal, administrator, and other stakeholders to identify activities and incentives to maximize student recruitment and retention.
  • Implement a comprehensive strategy aimed at increasing and maintaining enrollment. 
  • Coordinate tours for all prospective families.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an inquiry tracking process for all grades.
  • Host recruitment events to engage prospective families.
  • Identify and train Parent Ambassadors to promote school.
  • Conduct exit interviews for families who withdraw from the school.

Marketing & Communications:

  • Assist with weekly newsletter communication to current families.
  • Create and send monthly newsletters to prospective families and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement a plan for increasing community engagement as evidenced by attending local community meetings (Chamber of Commerce, alderman, church services, etc.), distributing flyers, speaking at events, and visits to offices to promote school.
  • Develop a package of materials that are easily accessible to parents at every step of the recruitment and admission process.
  • Participate in a professional development program bi-weekly to assist in marketing, communications and admissions.
  • Serve as the primary marketing and media liaison, focusing on posting social media posts, website updates, promoting events, managing ads, attaining photos, writing and submission of press releases, etc.
  • Provide admissions and marketing related status reports to key stakeholders (e.g. school board, CLEF and others) as needed. 
  • Oversee efforts to improve the facility and classroom appearance, for overall professional appeal to new and current families.
  • Assist in the maintenance and design of the school’s website.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation.

Holy Family Ministries – The Peace Exchange, Program Assistant

The Peace Exchange (TPE) – Program Assistant Job Description (part-time, 15 hr. per week)

As an at will employee and Program Assistant for TPE, you are expected to:

  1. Assist the program manager with program logistics as assigned.

Holy Family Computer Technology/ IT Coordinator:

The IT Coordinator and Technology Teacher position at Holy Family School is a unique opportunity that blends two essential roles. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and repairing the school’s various technologies as an IT Technician, as well as teaching technology to students from kindergarten to eighth grade.
